About The Position

AMFM Healthcare is expanding its renowned residential mental health services in Stillwater, Minnesota! As we launch expansion, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Director to help build and lead our team for our residential adult program, A Mission for Michael. This move reflects AMFM Healthcare's commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to a broader population. With existing residential facilities in California, Virginia, and Minnesota, AMFM Healthcare offers personalized treatment plans, world-class clinicians, and beautiful residential homes. The expansion into Washington aims to provide individuals in the region with access to comprehensive residential mental health services, fostering lasting wellness and recovery. The Clinical Program Director shall oversee the care and treatment of all clients in AMFM Healthcare’s programs that have been designated to be under their scope of responsibility. The Clinical Program Director will develop and implement programming that is therapeutically challenging and engaging for the clients while also meeting payor and regulatory requirements. The Clinical Program Director will provide clinical supervision, both formally and informally, to clinicians within their programs. The Clinical Program Director will also liaise with business development, admissions, utilization review, and finance.

Requirements

  • Minimum Licensure/Education – Associate licensed clinician (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) with experience in a mental health treatment environment. Managerial experience. Masters degree from an accredited University.
  • Must be 21 years or older to apply for this position.
  • Successful completion of the ADP Selective Screening Services background check as well as any other state, federal or company required background/record check.
  • 3+ years experience working in a relevant field.
  • Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Current T.B. clearance
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer/keyboard, use electronic systems, communicate with others through written and verbal formats, ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time, ability to climb stairs, listening, reading comprehension, lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Possess the skills and knowledge of the operations of a multi-care level facility, multidisciplinary clinical treatment team and  best practices for relevant levels of care and environments.
  • Familiar with a variety of therapeutic modalities and have a thorough understanding of Evidence-Based Treatment practices
  • Possess managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to communicate with family members, clients, and other staff members professionally and respectfully.
  • Ability to operate standard office machines and equipment, including telephones, computers, copy machines, fax machines, calculators, scanners, and shredders.
  • Ability to be professional and maintain a positive attitude and relationships with coworkers.
  • Excel at both written and verbal communications to convey essential information; must be able to utilize the proper linguistic syntax and spelling.
  • Knowledge of clinical and medical terminology as it relates to the delivery of clinical care to the clients within our programs as required by our payers.
  • Knowledge of the clinical, medical, and miscellaneous services provided to the clients.
  • Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and G Suite products.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and enforce the agency’s standards, policies and procedures, client rights, and professional code of ethics and conduct, and complete additional duties as required if deemed necessary by administration.
  • Collaboratively develop and oversee treatment experiences that meet the needs of clients struggling with mental health disorders. Responsible for program continuous quality management and performance improvement.
  • Support, through supervision, Program Managers who hold responsibility for training and supervising direct care staff members.
  • Develop and cultivate an environment based on person-centered philosophy and culturally sensitive to client needs and develop rapport with clients and their families to further treatment goals as needed.
  • Manage and supervise administrative and clinical personnel. Lead, direct, and motivate staff and clients to successful completion of goals.
  • Report weekly, to the Executive Director, on the status and progress of the program's activities, staff, and individual clients.
  • Work collaboratively with admissions, company leadership, and other stakeholders on ensuring an effective and timely process for evaluating clinical eligibility is established.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of administrative, clinical, clerical, operations, residential and other staff.
  • Assist Human Resources with staff conflicts, disciplinary action, and termination, if necessary. Perform 90 day and annual performance evaluation of assigned supervisees.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with subordinate staff, supervisors, utilization review, managed health care clinicians, medical and mental health professionals.
