As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient’s care needs. Carries out full range of learning and development activities including assessment, planning, design, delivery and consultation specific to the clinical area or department. Coordinates and delivers comprehensive education and support to the Allina Health Cancer Institute care teams with a specialized focus on nursing. This position includes medical, surgical, infusion and/or radiation oncology patient populations in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Delivers high-quality education to Care Team Members in a dynamic and complex environment using adult learning principles. Committed to advancing the Allina Health Cancer Institute through the integration of evidence-based practice initiatives.
