The Clinical Pharmacist ensures the overall integrity, safety, rationality, and effectiveness of the drug use control process for all patients in the assigned geographic or specialty area, including the following patient groups: Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics. The role involves monitoring, screening, and verifying all drug-related orders for proper dosage, route, dosage form, and administration schedule, ensuring expedited preparation and dispensing of all dosage forms. The pharmacist will resolve drug therapy problems, clarify and correct problematic drug orders, and counsel patients on the safe and proper use of their medications. They will also interact with other healthcare practitioners in a multidisciplinary environment, monitor medication effects, and recommend adjustments to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, the role includes supervising Pharmacy Interns, Certified Pharmacy Technicians, and pharmacy residents.
