Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Cardiology
About The Position
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Cardiology provides care to patients in our cardiology wards and procedural areas, frequently practicing under clinical pharmacy agreements. At our cardiac center for the Providence Oregon Region, pharmacists care for complex patients, including those receiving advanced heart failure therapies and heart transplant. They respond to medical emergencies. They are preceptors for our large residency class and for students in our layered learning model. Clinical pharmacy specialists are additionally responsible for developing initiatives and policies to improve medication utilization.
Requirements
- PharmD Pharmacy or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy
- Oregon Pharmacist License upon hire
- PGY2 residency training - or - PGY1 residency training and 2 years of experience within relevant practice setting - or - a minimum of 4 years of experience in specialty practice setting
Nice To Haves
- BPS Board Certified Pharmacist within 2 years of hire
