About The Position

Health science specialist who assures the safe and appropriate use of drugs in patients through the application of specialized knowledge. Functions in patient care and uses judgment in the collection and interpretation of pharmacologic data, patient-specific involvement, and direct interprofessional interactions. This role of Clinical Pharmacist is patient-oriented, disease-oriented, drug-oriented, and has, in practice, an interdisciplinary orientation.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Program with current licensure as a pharmacist in state of practice.
Must have the ability to use the Pharmacy computer system at an acceptable level after having been instructed during the training period.
Must be willing to work a rotation shift and be willing to accept "call back."

Nice To Haves

Completed an ASHP accredited residency program or other advanced training.

Functions in patient care and uses judgment in the collection and interpretation of pharmacologic data, patient-specific involvement, and direct interprofessional interactions.
Provides patient-oriented, disease-oriented, and drug-oriented care with an interdisciplinary orientation.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the Pharmacy/I.V. Admixture Department.
