About The Position

Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. This role is located at the Texas Health Center for Diagnostics/Surgery in Plano, TX. The Pharmacy Department is open Monday-Friday from 6:00 am to 7:30 pm and operates within a Surgical Hospital Setting with a small team of 5 people. Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery is an 18-bed physician-owned hospital serving the people of Collin, Dallas and Denton counties. The hospital is an award-winning facility that offers a wide range of services including robotic surgery, spine surgery, joint replacement surgery, orthopedic surgery, gynecological surgery, urological surgery, ENT surgery as well as spinal injections, outpatient GI procedures and advanced imaging studies. Designed with a boutique hotel in mind, patients enjoy a more comfortable setting than what is typically offered in a large, full-service traditional hospital. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required Or
  • Other Pharm.D. Required And
  • Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
  • PHAR - Pharmacist Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • 3 Years hospital experience or residency Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
  • Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification
  • Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of one’s own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department’s quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
  • Ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Not only the management of one’s own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
