About The Position

The Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist at Marymount Hospital plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a community-focused hospital environment. Based in the first-floor pharmacy and supported by a collaborative team of approximately 36 caregivers, this primarily centralized role supports general inpatient and operational pharmacy services across the hospital. The position blends clinical and operational responsibilities, while actively participating in interdisciplinary emergency responses such as codes and stroke alerts. With opportunities for cross-coverage, this role offers continuous learning in a dynamic, close-knit setting. A caregiver in this position will work a 7-on/7-off afternoon/evening schedule from 11:00am to 9:15pm. The rotation begins Wednesday and runs through Tuesday, followed by seven days off. Weekend coverage is built into the rotation, with no float expectations.

Requirements

PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days (for individuals required to administer immunizations).
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross. For caregivers required to respond to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest, this is required within one year of hire

Nice To Haves

Board certification
Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or 2 years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience
Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a specialized pharmacy practice area (i.e. Critical Care, Oncology)

Responsibilities

Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.
Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
