About The Position

Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to assure that drug therapy is safe, effective, efficient, and cost-effective for patients in the emergency department. Work with a diverse patient population including acute care neurology patients. Provide training and education to pharmacy residents and PharmD students through practical and didactic experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD degree
  • 1 year of clinical patient care and orders management experience
  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Wisconsin within 90 Days
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 Days
  • Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) within 180 Days

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an ASHP Accredited Residency training program
  • 3 years of institutional experience (hospital or integrated health system) or completion of an ASHP accredited residency training program
  • Certification through the appropriate certifying program (Board of Pharmacy Specialties, National Board of Nutrition Support Certification, National Certification Board for Anticoagulation Providers, Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board, etc.)
  • Emergency medicine experience
  • Completed a PGY2 in emergency medicine or have equivalent work experience in an emergency medicine setting
