About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for assisting in the coordination of clinical pharmacy services to ensure optimal clinical pharmacy services on a daily basis. This role assists in the development of new pharmacy services and clinical workflows, facilitates staff education and development to ensure competency, and supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure clinical programs are maintained. The Clinical Pharmacist follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities and facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.

Requirements

  • Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required, (or) Minimum five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience
  • Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross within six weeks of hire into position.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire into position.

  • Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy
