About The Position

A Clinical Pharmacist contributes to AHF by expanding primary care functions of pharmacists such as providing individualized health promotion and disease prevention, including administration of vaccines, long-acting HIV treatments, diabetes monitoring, nicotine reduction programs and other subject matters, in collaboration with other AHF providers. A Clinical Pharmacist enhances the reputation of AHF by providing valuable contributions to all locations by helping to bring “best practice” and collaborative ideas, as well as providing consistent application of processes, procedures and policy throughout the organization. You will be a passionate advocate for our top initiatives. To be successful as a Clinical Pharmacist it is crucial to ensure that the AHF core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that your do. At AHF we are nimble and able to adapt in a dynamic environment to assist in providing the best experience for our clients and workplace for our employees. AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders. The Clinical Pharmacist will work as a part of a close knit team to provide individualized health promotion and disease prevention, including administration of immunizations, diabetes and smoking cessation programs, as well as other Subject Matter Expertise (SME) programs as developed by AHF, with appropriate collaborative drug therapy management authority. This includes prescriptive authority where this is legally and organizationally authorized such as PrEP and PEP therapies.
