And want to play an essential role in a successful company’s continued growth. The Clinical Pharmacist will work independently under the broad supervision of a team lead, supervisor or manager. The role will require researching source pharmaceutical information, making detailed observations, analyzing source content and interpreting results for possible inclusion within knowledge base content. The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for directing and performing data entry tasks and verifying data entry performed by team members. The role requires someone who is able to independently plan and prioritize order of completion for work assigned and reliably complete assigned tasks associated to special projects that are unrelated to day-to-day routine work. The position will be based out of the Carmel, IN and follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to work onsite at least three days per week.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates knowledge or capability to become proficient at a basic level with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Becomes proficient with OnBase, SalesForce, Microsoft Teams.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and writing capabilities.
  • Can work in a team environment, taking primary responsibility for supported content initially with direct supervision by management personnel.
  • Works with preceptors to help pharmacy interns in completing projects.
  • Familiar with editorial policies, maintenance, and applications.
  • Demonstrates strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn and adapt to evolving systems, technologies, and workflow tools.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and willingness to explore innovative approaches, including automation and AI-assisted solutions, to improve editorial efficiency and data quality.
  • Ability to identify workflow inefficiencies and collaborate with management and team members on process improvement and transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and comfort working with structured data, reports, system outputs, and technology-driven workflows.
  • One year of recent experience in a clinical pharmacy, pharmacy informatics, medication data management, healthcare technology, or related pharmacy setting with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (must be actively registered as a pharmacist in at least one state).
  • Experience supporting clinical systems, workflow optimization, healthcare databases, or technology-enabled pharmacy processes is highly desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with or interest in artificial intelligence, automation tools, data analysis, or workflow optimization is highly desirable.
  • Pharmacy informatics experience, informatics training, healthcare technology experience, or board certification related to informatics or clinical specialties is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Researches source pharmaceutical information, makes detailed observations, analyzes clinical evidence, and interprets results for possible inclusion within MedKnowledge base content in a manner consistent with stated Editorial/DSG policies.
  • Directs and performs data entry tasks and verifies data entry performed by other team members.
  • Able to independently plan and prioritize order of completion for work assigned.
  • Work performed meets or exceeds stated product maintenance standards.
  • Responsible for timely review of drug information inheritance through knowledge base drug group rules using daily Apollo reports.
  • Responsible for managing and responding to internal post-production data audit reports.
  • Reviews daily data change reports and takes action to resolve any inconsistencies.
  • Develops an understanding of the risks and advantages of key Apollo system forms.
  • Actively contributes to process and quality improvement efforts.
  • Provides in-services and presentations to group members.
  • Brings challenging or controversial clinical issues to the team for discussion.
  • Begins to field customer questions using basic data analytic skills to identify the issue and deliver a possible solution.
  • Work with manager to deliver a solution.
  • Respond knowledgeably and diplomatically to a variety of customer inquiries through SalesForce.
  • Reviews data audits and reports daily as assigned.
  • Identifies opportunities for workflow improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies within editorial and data maintenance processes.
  • Supports adoption and responsible use of emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools and system enhancements, to improve productivity, consistency, and quality outcomes.
