The Clinical Pharmacist position is within the Pharmacy Department at Texas Health Dallas. This role is crucial for providing exceptional patient care and actively participating in emergent bedside care, including strokes, level I traumas, and code blues. The department utilizes advanced technologies like EPIC, Pyxis, carousel, and KitCheck to optimize patient care. Pharmacists serve a diverse patient population across various units such as the ED, ICUs, ORs, Women and Neonatal, Oncology, and Medical/Surgical. They are involved in clinical initiatives like anticoagulation management, renal monitor/adjustments, and Antimicrobial Stewardship. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is an 875-bed, full-service hospital serving the Dallas community and surrounding areas since 1966, specializing in cancer care, cardiology, neurosciences, women’s services, and emergency medicine. It is recognized as a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, with a Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level I Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Heart Attack Center.
