Under general direction, the Clinical Pharmacist performs professional pharmaceutical duties in drug education and utilization, counsels patients on drug usage, educates health care personnel on drug utilization, and may compound drugs and dispense medicines in a clinical pharmacy. Positions are located throughout the Department of Public Health, including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG), Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center (LHH), Community Primary Care and Mental Health Clinics, and San Francisco County Jails. Some positions may require working directly with individuals in locked facilities, the homeless population, and/or individuals who have or are carriers of infectious/communicable diseases.
