About The Position
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for accurately reviewing and verifying medication orders, monitoring medication therapy, providing drug information, and supporting safe and effective medication use throughout the hospital. This position also supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel, participates in medication-use and process-improvement initiatives, and serves as a resource for pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance. In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, the Clinical Pharmacist may be required to assume essential pharmacy management responsibilities.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required
- Current Illinois Pharmacist license required
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required
