About The Position
Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years (2) experience, preferably in a hospital setting or completion of at least one (1) year in a pharmacy residency (PGY-1) required.
- Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features.
- Microsoft Office and knowledge of hospital information system.
- Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada
