About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacist-Outpatient supervises clerks, technicians, interns, and students to ensure the needs of neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients are met. The pharmacist serves as a major source of drug information for patients and other health professionals. In a mail order pharmacy, the role also coordinates mail order activities as required. The position requires flexibility to cover multiple pharmacy locations as needed and includes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy.
Current California Pharmacist License.
Ability to write and document legibly.
Ability to assemble, troubleshoot, and calibrate patient care equipment and perform technical age-specific patient care activities as required.
Ability to use computers and software programs necessary for the position.
Effective, professional communication in English in person, in writing, and by telephone.
Ability to follow policies, work calmly and courteously under pressure, collaborate with others, and accept direction.
Ability to perform basic math functions, think critically, organize and prioritize workload, manage multiple assignments, solve problems, recall information, and pay close attention to detail.
Sufficient hearing for conversation and distinguishing workplace sounds; adequate vision to read screens and documents; and ability to discern temperature variances through touch.
