About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Clinical Pharmacist supports compassionate, high-quality care by providing clinical pharmacy services in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role covers pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture. The position is full-time in Omaha, Nebraska, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and every other weekend. Compensation is $55.00–$73.00 per hour, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

Successfully complete all educational requirements mandated for state licensure.
Hold current state licensure.
Hold BLS certification if required by the state.

Nice To Haves

PharmD, or a BS in Pharmacy plus an advanced degree, or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency.

Responsibilities

Maintain working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
Provide clinical support for the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy.
Correctly inform and instruct patients about medications to use after discharge.
Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
