Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. The pharmacy department leverages advanced technologies (EPIC, Pyxis, carousel, KitCheck, etc.) to optimize patient care. Pharmacists provide care to a diverse patient population including ED, ICUs, ORs, Women and Neonatal, Oncology, and Medical/Surgical. Pharmacists participate in multiple clinical initiatives including anticoagulation management, renal monitor/adjustments, and Antimicrobial Stewardship. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. is required
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required
  • Texas Pharmacist License upon hire is required
  • Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 Year hospital experience within last 3 years is strongly preferred OR Recent graduates (within past 3 years) is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
  • Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
  • Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation.
  • Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
  • Ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
  • Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
