Requirements

  • Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required
  • Minimum five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required
  • Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross within six weeks of hire into position.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire into position.

  • Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assistance in the coordination of clinical pharmacy services to ensure optimal clinical pharmacy services on a daily basis.
  • Assists in the development of new pharmacy services and clinical workflows.
  • Facilitates staff education and development to ensure competency.
  • Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure clinical programs are maintained.
  • Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities.
  • Facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.
