About The Position

Staff pharmacists are responsible for filling medication orders, monitoring patient medication therapies, and providing drug information. They also supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the Pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Pharmacist by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy
• Graduate of ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy
• Ability to operate equipment used for the job
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules
• Ability to exercise sound professional judgment, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests
• Ability to meet the pharmaceutical care needs of pediatric, adult, geriatric, and skilled nursing patients

Nice To Haves

• Pharm. D. preferred
• Hospital experience preferred
