About The Position

This full-time Clinical Pharmacist position at High Point Medical Center is responsible for processing medication orders and prescriptions, supervising technicians for efficient medication dispensing, and delivering pharmaceutical care to optimize patient outcomes. The role involves contributing to quality improvement efforts, continuously updating skills and knowledge, maintaining compliance documentation, setting personal goals aligned with departmental objectives, providing age-appropriate care, and fostering a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
  • Current state pharmacist license is required in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
  • Maintains skills in area of practice.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and training development skills.
  • Demonstrates decision making, team building, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
  • Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization.
