The University of Iowa Health Care Pharmaceutical Department is looking for a 100% Clinical Pharmacist to join their team. This full-time clinical pharmacist is responsible for all aspects of pharmaceutical care for adult patients in critical care areas/units including but not limited to the: Cardiovascular Intensive Care, Medical Intensive Care, Surgical and Neurosciences Intensive Care, and the Burn Intensive Care. Additionally, the clinical pharmacist may be trained to the intermediate care/step-down units to assist with coverage as needed. The position will have rotating shifts including weekdays, weekends, and evenings. Clinical pharmacists at UI Health Care are involved in all aspects of patient care including, but not limited to, therapeutic drug monitoring, admission and discharge medication reconciliation, medication education, and precepting pharmacy learners. In addition to all members of the pharmacy team, they collaborate daily with other healthcare providers including, but not limited to, licensed independent practitioners, medical students and residents, nurses, and social workers and care coordinators.
