Your job is more than a job. The PRN Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for working with physicians, care managers, and other clinical staff, as part of a medical care team focusing on patient outcomes, while maintaining cost. The Clinical pharmacist provides patients and providers with therapeutic assessments and selected disease management, for assigned practices, working towards improving patient and practice outcomes. The clinical pharmacist also performs other duties consistent with the job classification as required. ADDENDUM to the Job Duties and Qualifications: Oncology Specific Duties and Credentials Chemotherapy Drug Review: Reviews chemotherapy treatment protocol selection for appropriateness based on patient's diagnosis. Calculates and verifies computer generated chemotherapy dosages based on patient specific data. Communicates inconsistencies in dose calculations/computer generated doses with physician. Accurately prepares and dispenses sterile chemotherapy and IV infusions in accordance with USP 797 guidelines. Maintains appropriate patient chemotherapy profiles for duration of active therapy cycles.
