About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacist- Outpatient (Outpt) supervises clerks, technicians, interns and students to ensure that the needs of neonatal, pediatric and adult patients are met. Acts as a major source of drug information for the patient and other health professionals. If working in the mail order pharmacy, also coordinates mail order activities as required. Demonstrates flexibility and ability to cover multiple pharmacy locations as needed. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy required.
  • No experience required.
  • Current California Pharmacist License required.
  • Able to write legibly.
  • Able to assemble, troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment.
  • Able to perform technical age-specific patient care activities as required.
  • Able to use computer and software programs necessary to the position.
  • Able to use computer for essential job duties.
  • Able to communicate effectively, and professionally with others.
  • Able to be assertive and consistent in following policies.
  • Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Able to collaborate with others.
  • Able to accept direction.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing and on the telephone.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one year of community pharmacy experience preferred.
