About The Position
We are seeking a skilled NICU Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing direct clinical pharmacy services to neonates in the NICU, developing communication systems for staff, and acting as a mentor and educator. The position also focuses on identifying cost containment opportunities, managing resources for continuity of care, participating in clinical research, and developing utilization reviews and medication use assessments.
Requirements
- PharmD degree with completion of a PGY2 residency in Pediatrics or Critical Care with NICU experience.
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in Texas.
- Proven NICU clinical pharmacy experience.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical pharmacy services to neonates in the NICU.
- Develop and maintain communication systems to ensure effective information flow among staff.
- Act as a mentor and educator for pharmacy students, staff, and residents.
- Identify opportunities for cost containment and improvements in clinical pharmacy services.
- Plan and manage resources to ensure continuity of care across various settings.
- Participate in clinical research to evaluate drug and regimen outcomes.
- Develop and implement utilization reviews and medication use assessments.
