About The Position

This is a part-time position requiring a mix of day and evening hours, with weekend and holiday rotation. The Clinical Pharmacist validates the accuracy and appropriateness of medication orders, compounds medications, and accurately provides prescribed medications according to professional standards, practices, and specific indications or orders. They provide consultative services to internal and external system constituents regarding medications, interactions, and other drug-related information. The role involves following defined medication-related protocols, policies, and procedures, and documenting clinical activities and applicable outcomes. A key aspect of this role is achieving and maintaining satisfactory working relationships with pharmacy leadership, pharmacy staff, and other hospital departments, committees, and administrators. The position places a strong emphasis on patient care, with the patient as the highest priority and central focus in all endeavors and undertakings of the individual and the department.

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Doctorate Degree
  • Relevant Experience
  • PA Pharmacist License
  • Board eligible for Pennsylvania licensure may be accepted in lieu of actual license; PA Pharmacist License required within 4 months of hire date
