This position is responsible for maintaining pharmacy practice standards, dispensing prescriptions, counseling patients, and managing medication therapy. The Clinical Pharmacist I will effectively utilize pharmacy software and technology, participate in clinical pharmacist programs to enhance patient outcomes, and collaborate with healthcare providers for safe and cost-effective medication therapy. The role also involves contributing to departmental goals, providing training, and offering pharmaceutical information. Key responsibilities include participation in quality assurance programs, serving on clinic provider teams and various clinic-wide committees, and supervising pharmacy technicians/assistants. The pharmacist is responsible for adhering to clinic policies regarding safety, infection control, and confidentiality. Additionally, this role involves training new pharmacy employees and students, and after competency assessment, managing outpatient anticoagulation therapy through a prescriptive protocol, including patient education, dose adjustment, and monitoring for side effects. The general duties include performing assigned tasks, meeting attendance standards, conforming to safety policies, demonstrating sound work ethics, a positive attitude, and customer service focus, while embracing the organization's core values and complying with all relevant regulations.
