About The Position

We are seeking a motivated, patient-focused Acute Care Clinical Pharmacist to join our inpatient acute care pharmacy team in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This full-time position plays an essential role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and effective use of medications while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. Relocation assistance/candidates relocating to the area will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Candidates must reside within the required mileage from the facility.

Requirements

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited program.
• Current pharmacist license in the State of Florida , or eligibility for Florida licensure.
• Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of acute care/inpatient pharmacist experience.
• PGY1 Pharmacy Residency accepted in place of the required experience.
• Retail pharmacy experience may be considered for candidates who have successfully completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency .
• Hospital or health-system pharmacy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety.
• Compound and dispense medications in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Monitor medication therapy for safety, effectiveness, and appropriate dosing.
• Support formulary compliance and evidence-based medication use.
• Provide medication information and clinical recommendations to healthcare professionals.
• Participate in clinical pharmacy programs and patient-care initiatives.
• Document clinical interventions and recommendations.
• Identify and report medication errors and participate in medication safety initiatives.
• Support daily inpatient pharmacy operations and departmental goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
