About The Position

This role involves providing clinical pharmacy services for safe and efficient patient care within an academic medicine setting. The Clinical Pharmacist will support medication distribution, ensure accuracy, maintain competencies, and contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. The position also requires ongoing professional development, managing time effectively, minimizing pharmaceutical costs, and responding to medical emergencies. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required
Other Pharm D. Required
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required.
Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

3 years of hospital experience or residency preferred.
PGY2 training in internal medicine, pharmacotherapy, or similar specialty are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation.
Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
Ongoing professional development and growth.
Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
Other duties as assigned.
