About The Position

Under general supervision of the medical staff, following policies, procedures and professional guidelines, the Clinical Perfusionist assists with all procedures requiring the use of Cardio-Pulmonary Bypass, ECMO, Cell Saver and other related Bypass procedures. This role involves providing, assembling and caring for all perfusion supplies, instruments and equipment before, during and after procedures, cleaning and maintaining all perfusion equipment, and assisting the perfusion team leader with ordering and stocking all perfusion supplies and equipment in the surgical suites. The Clinical Perfusionist also administers medication under the direction of the physician and is responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Perfusion Training program.
• Current National certification from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusionists required.

Responsibilities
