About The Position

The Clinical Patient Access Liaison (C-PAL) is a field-based or embedded clinical support role focused on removing access barriers for specialty therapies. This individual will partner closely with Physicians and practice teams to streamline reimbursement workflows and support patient access in real time. They will provide real-time, point-of-care support for prior authorizations, benefits investigation and financial access. The C-PAL will function as a bridge between patients, providers and payers to ensure timely initiation of therapy and improved patient experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • 5+ years of experience in patient access, reimbursement or specialty support services
  • Strong knowledge of payer dynamics, billing and pharmacy workflows
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a central contact for patients and caregivers; support onboarding, coverage education and adherence
  • Manage prior authorizations, exceptions and appeals to resolve access barriers
  • Provide real-time guidance on payer requirements, step edits and documentation needs
  • Partner with specialty pharmacies, hub services and internal teams to facilitate access
  • Track access barriers, document activities and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
