About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Spiritual Care and Education, the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Resident is responsible for addressing the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of patients, families, and staff at Mount Sinai Hospital. The CPE Resident joins a dynamic team within the Department of Spiritual Care and Education, fostering collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary care teams and contributing to the well-being of the Mount Sinai community. This role includes on-call coverage during nights, weekends, and holidays. This role involves active participation in Mount Sinai's Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) residency training program, with a focus on the requirements for chaplaincy certification.

Requirements

  • Must be a Clinical Pastoral Education Resident.
  • Must be able to address spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of patients, families, and staff.
  • Must be able to foster collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Must be able to contribute to the well-being of the Mount Sinai community.
  • Must be available for on-call coverage during nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must actively participate in Mount Sinai's ACPE residency training program.
