About The Position

This role involves assisting in providing pastoral care to patients, their family members, and organizational staff. The resident will perform or assist with pastoral visitation, public worship services, and outreach services to assigned areas or specific faith groups. A key aspect of the role is assessing and responding to the spiritual and emotional needs of those counseled, including crisis intervention and bereavement. The resident will also participate in the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) curriculum, demonstrating a commitment to learning about the ministry of pastoral care, self-awareness as a minister, and the impact of their ministry on those served. Documentation of visits and interventions according to healthcare organization standards is also required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in a Theology, Spirituality or related field preferred.
1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by ACPE is preferred.
Ordination or equivalency in faith group is preferred.
3 years of experience preferred.
