About The Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and credentialed Licensed Clinical, Counseling, or Health Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in an on-site acute inpatient rehabilitation or medical hospital setting. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or Health Psychology from an APA-accredited program and must have completed an APA-accredited internship. This position involves providing short-term psychological interventions for adult patients recovering from neurological and physical trauma. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical or rehabilitation psychology and a strong background in assessment, intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical, Counseling, or Health Psychology from an APA-accredited program. (Strict Requirement)
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Ohio.
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in a medical or rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong knowledge of neuropsychological principles, trauma-related interventions, and behavioral medicine.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary medical environment.
  • Must be able to work on-site in an inpatient medical setting—remote work is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions for adult patients experiencing neurological and physical trauma.
  • Provide short-term, evidence-based therapy to facilitate recovery and adjustment.
  • Work closely with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare providers as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans integrating psychological and medical care needs.
  • Offer psychoeducation and coping strategies to patients and families.
  • Maintain detailed clinical documentation and adhere to ethical and hospital guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development provided by the company.
