About The Position

Develop and maintain the training program for various GVHC staff roles in their assigned Epic application(s). The Analyst works closely with training manager, application manager, clinical specialty champions and nurse champions to deliver outstanding training content that is targeted and effective. Scheduled: Monday – Friday, working from 8:00am – 5:00pm. Requirements

  • Solid understanding of clinical workflows and terminology in ambulatory setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Working knowledge of EMRs and other healthcare applications.
  • Valid California driver’s license, vehicle insurance, reliable transportation and acceptable driving record.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of work experience, supporting HIT applications required.
  • Must acquire Epic Principal Trainer certification within 6 months of their employment, adhering to the maximum number of exam attempts allowed by Epic's policy.
  • Continuous maintenance of Epic certifications is a mandatory requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of healthcare business processes and technology preferred.
  • Healthcare IT experience in ambulatory care settings a definite plus.
  • Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing a definite plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical area or business area to be supported highly preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience working with EHRs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop role-based training content, independently or with team members, using a variety of software programs, tools, and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Design, develop and maintain instructional materials.
  • Maintain policy and procedure documentation.
  • Learn new content and consult with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop training materials and answer any participant questions.
  • Assist with building and testing of training environments, and provide support and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with other trainers by co-facilitating classroom instruction and assisting with exercises as needed.
  • Prepare training lessons, printing materials, and set up the training room and environment prior to the training session.
  • Present information verbally and in writing in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Follow up with trainees outside of the classroom to offer additional support.
  • Serve as an expert educator to internal staff.
  • Train and credential additional classroom trainers as needed.
  • Train staff and end users by teaching technical topics as needed.
  • Manage projects by prioritizing projects and by creating and adhering to timelines.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
