About The Position

Baystate Health is seeking a Clinical Operations Supervisor for their team in Greenfield, MA. This role serves as a key resource for nursing and non-nursing staff, with the authority to make critical decisions in nursing practice according to the Massachusetts Nursing Practice Act and established policies. In emergencies, the supervisor can make broader decisions, collaborate with the Administrator-On-Call (AOC), and access additional resources. The primary focus is on ensuring high-quality, safe patient care and achieving zero patient harm by monitoring and promoting best practices aligned with national patient safety goals and Baystate Franklin's Patient Care Services (PCS) initiatives. This includes emphasizing safe care transitions, nursing-sensitive indicators, and positive patient and family experiences. Requirements

  • Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
  • Three years of inpatient nursing practice with leadership/supervision experience.
  • Associate’s degree in nursing required.
  • ACLS Required By the End of Orientation - American Heart Assoc
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse - State of Massachusetts

Responsibilities

  • Possess the authority to make critical decisions in nursing practice in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act of Massachusetts, following established policies at the unit, department, and hospital levels.
  • In emergency situations, make broader decisions and collaborate with the Administrator-On-Call (AOC), even accessing additional resources as needed.
  • Ensure high-quality and safe patient care, with a focus on achieving zero patient harm.
  • Actively monitor and promote best practices aligned with national patient safety goals and the Patient Care Services (PCS) initiatives at Baystate Franklin.
  • Emphasize safe care transitions, nursing-sensitive indicators, and positive patient and family experiences.
