About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join their Nursing Administration leadership team in the role of Clinical Operations Manager. This role combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices to achieve excellent outcomes, focusing on translating and achieving strategic priorities such as quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. The Clinical Operations Manager provides strategic vision and operational planning for assigned units, leading interprofessional teams to create an environment where excellence in patient and organizational outcomes is achieved. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating for and embedding evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards. The unit operates 24x7, including weekends and holidays. This is a fully onsite role, Monday-Friday day shift, with availability to round to evenings and weekends, and an on-call rotation every 8 weeks. Service line experience is not required, but previous leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN). If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
  • Service line experience is not required but previous leadership experience is strongly preferred.

  • Providing oversight of unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, weekends, and holidays.
