About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join our Adult Surgical Critical Care Unit leadership team in the role of Clinical Operations Manager. This role combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. The Clinical Operations Manager is accountable for translating and achieving strategic priorities and outcomes, including quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. This role provides strategic vision and operational planning for the assigned unit, leading an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. The role is also accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating for and consistently embedding evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards. The unit is operational and staffed 24 x 7, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN). If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
