About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join their Pediatric Medical Unit leadership team as a Clinical Operations Manager. This role combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. The manager is accountable for translating and achieving strategic priorities such as quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. They will provide strategic vision and operational planning for their assigned unit, leading an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is also accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating for and consistently embedding evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards. The unit is operational and staffed 24x7, including weekends and holidays. This is a fully onsite role, Monday-Friday day shift at Riley hospital, with evening and weekend rounding and on-call responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have previous leadership and pediatric experience.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN). If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Previous pediatric experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
