About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join their NICU leadership team in the role of Clinical Operations Manager. This role combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices to achieve excellent outcomes. The manager is accountable for translating and achieving strategic priorities such as quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. They will provide strategic vision and operational planning for their assigned unit, leading an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is also accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating for and embedding evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards. The unit operates 24/7, including weekends and holidays. This is a fully onsite role, Monday-Friday day shift, with availability to round to evenings and weekends, plus on-call responsibilities. Candidates should have previous leadership experience as well as NICU or pediatric experience.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN). If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Previous leadership experience.
• NICU or pediatric experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

• Providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit.
• Leading an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes.
• Advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards.
• Providing oversight of unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, weekends, and holidays.
