This is a PRN position with varying hours based on clinical need. The Clinical Office Assistant greets patients and visitors, collects co-payments, and responds to routine requests for information. They are responsible for scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating administrative aspects of meetings and travel. The role involves answering and screening telephone calls, triaging clinical calls, and resolving problems. Additionally, the assistant assembles, copies, and releases patient medical records, works with the Medical Records Department, and generates basic reports. Responsibilities also include managing mail, operating office equipment, completing referrals, tracking re-authorizations, processing patient registration, and potentially handling billing/reimbursement forms. Maintaining logs and reports, and assisting with data compilation for reports and meetings are also key duties.
