The Clinical Office Assistant will greet patients and visitors, collect co-payments, and respond to routine requests for information. This role involves scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating administrative aspects for meetings and travel. The assistant will also schedule patients, enter information into the computer system, and coordinate appointments with other departments or offices. Responsibilities include answering and screening telephone calls, triaging clinical calls, and resolving problems. The role also involves assembling, copying, and releasing patient medical records, and working with the Medical Records Department. Generating reports, opening and distributing mail, and maintaining office equipment are also key duties. Additionally, the assistant will complete referrals, track re-authorizations, process patient registration, and may process billing/reimbursement forms. Maintaining logs and reports, and assisting with data compilation for reports and meetings are expected.
