The Clinical Office Assistant will greet patients and visitors, collect co-payments, and respond to routine requests for information. This role involves scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating administrative aspects for meetings and travel. The assistant will also handle patient scheduling, data entry into computer systems, and coordinate appointments with other departments or offices. Responsibilities include answering and screening telephone calls, triaging clinical calls, and resolving problems. The role also involves assembling, copying, and releasing patient medical records, working with the Medical Records Department, generating reports, and distributing mail. Additionally, the assistant will operate and maintain office equipment, order supplies, complete referrals, track re-authorizations, process patient registration, and may process billing/reimbursement forms. Maintaining logs and reports, performing simple calculations, and assisting with data compilation for reports and meetings are also key duties.
