About The Position

The Deaconess Sleep Center, a department of Deaconess Hospital, includes physicians and advance practice nurse practitioners with a combined 30 years’ experience in sleep medicine. You will work with patients who may have trouble falling or staying asleep, chronic sleeplessness, sleep apnea and any other sleeping disorders. The Clinical Office Assistant, Float (RN, LPN, CMA/RMA) is a versatile healthcare professional who provides both clinical and administrative support across multiple medical practices, departments, and provider teams as assigned. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to quickly integrate into different clinic environments while maintaining excellent patient care, efficiency, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The Clinical Office Assistant, Float (RN, LPN, CMA/RMA) provides clinical support across multiple departments, clinics, or provider teams as needed. This role is responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, assisting with examinations and procedures, administering medications and injections as directed, performing documentation in the electronic medical record, and supporting patient care while adapting to various work locations and providers. Candidate must demonstrates flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or graduation from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Current certification/license from one of the below: Certified Medical Assistant- American Association of Medical Assistants, Registered Medical Assistant- American Medical Technologist, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant- National Health career Association, National Certified Medical Assistant- National Center for Competency Testing, Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant- National Association for Health Professionals, Registered Medical Assistant- American Allied Health, Certified Medical Assistant Clinical- American Medical Certification Association, Active LPN license in state of employment, Active RN license in state of employment
  • CPR provider certification required.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
