About The Position

Friends Homes is seeking a full-time Clinical Nutrition Supervisor to oversee and ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-specific meals and snacks that meet dietary needs and preferences. This role involves working closely with the Director of Dining Services, Dietitians, and team members to ensure compliance with dietary requirements and standards, supervising tray line service, maintaining dietary records, supporting care planning, and ensuring sanitation and safety standards are met. The supervisor will also assist in menu adjustments and participate in initiatives to improve residents' dining experiences.

Requirements

  • Certified Dietary Manager certification (CDM)
  • ServeSafe Certification
  • Knowledge of special dietary requirements and food service in healthcare settings
  • Previous supervisory experience in food and beverage establishments
  • Previous experience in clinical nutrition, diet therapy, or menu manipulation
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must demonstrate the ability to speak, read, and write in English to effectively communicate and complete required tasks, including training and documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a senior care environment or Life Plan Community
  • Additional certifications or training related to nutrition and dietary management

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-specific meals and snacks that meet dietary needs and preferences
  • Work closely with the Director of Dining Services, Dietitians, and team members to ensure compliance with dietary requirements and standards
  • Supervise tray line service to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness
  • Maintain up-to-date dietary records and medical charting
  • Support care planning, nutrition assessments, and MDS documentation
  • Ensure sanitation standards are met and safety procedures are followed
  • Assist in making menu adjustments for individual dietary needs and food shortages
  • Participate in cultural change initiatives to improve residents' dining experiences
