About The Position
Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to serve as Director of Clinical Nutrition at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, a 268‑bed teaching hospital and trauma center located in Manhattan, NY. Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credentials with acute care experience and a great clinical knowledge base.
- Proven supervisory or management experience.
- Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.
- Experience with regulatory accreditation and establishing and maintaining standards of care.
- A strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care.
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
- 6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework.
- 5 years as experienced specialized practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of 11 dietitians across inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as diet office staff.
- Drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects.
- Oversee rollout of department programs and initiatives, as necessary.
- Facilitate local community and wellness initiatives.
- Provide training and education to the food service staff, as well as interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the department on hospital wide committees.
- Serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team and assist in operational management as needed.
