About The Position

This role is for a Clinical Nutrition Dietitian at a Strictly Pediatric Medical Office Building, specializing in Pediatric Endocrinology. The position is PRN with multiple scheduling options. The dietitian will assess patients' nutritional status, provide interventions and treatments such as diet therapy and counseling, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include monitoring the effectiveness of nutritional regimens, providing medical nutrition therapy, educating the community, researching and resolving nutrition care issues, and assisting in meal monitoring and sanitation of food preparation areas.

Requirements

Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

Assess patients for nutritional status.
Provide interventions/treatments including diet therapy, counseling or specialized nutrition supplements.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing and ancillary services such as speech pathology or physical therapy.
Monitor tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional regimen and recommend therapy adjustments as necessary.
Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluate effectiveness of treatments.
Provide nutrition information for the community that may include public speaking, news releases and other forms of publications.
Research and take initiatives to resolve nutrition care related complaints and problems.
Assist in monitoring meals including intake, diet compliance and tray accuracy.
Maintain sanitation of food preparation area(s) through planned and unannounced inspections.
