Walnut Hills is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide clinical oversight and leadership within our Assisted Living community. The Clinical Nursing Supervisor partners with the Director of Nursing to coordinate daily clinical operations and provide guidance to nursing staff. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical support to ensure residents receive safe, high-quality care.

Requirements

  • Current Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
  • Three or more years of nursing experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or assisted living.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of long-term care regulations and quality assurance practices.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call leadership rotation.
  • A genuine commitment to serving older adults with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supervising or leading healthcare staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor licensed nurses and nursing assistants.
  • Coordinate daily staffing needs and assist with scheduling.
  • Monitor resident health status and ensure timely follow-up on changes in condition.
  • Support the admission process, care planning, transfers, and discharges.
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations, infection prevention standards, and community policies.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness while promoting regulatory readiness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
  • Provide education, coaching, and ongoing support to nursing team members.
  • Assist with direct resident care whenever operational needs require.
  • Promote open communication and a positive team culture focused on exceptional resident experiences.
