About The Position

Part time Clinical Nurse - 8pm to 8:30am - Emergency Department - NYP/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Emergency Department (ED) nursing is a moment-to-moment, career-transforming experience. Here, ED nurses independently assess conditions and rapidly arrange multidisciplinary care. From hi-tech intervention to community trauma care, our nurses identify challenges, comfort families and organize teams when every second counts. As a designated 911 receiving hospital, our facilities include Level I Trauma Centers for both adult and pediatric patients, a Psychiatric Emergency Receiving Center, a citywide Burn Center and more. Across all departments, our nurses collaborate with paramedics, physicians and others to use induced hypothermia, digital radiology and other novel techniques. This is a part time position - 12-hour, nights shift, 2 days a week. The hours are from 8pm to 8:30am. Rotating Weekends and holidays required. This position is at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience in acute care hospital
  • Current New York State RN license
  • BCLS certification
  • ACLS certification
