The CNS acts as a clinical resource and mentor, leads staff meetings, and contributes to quality improvement efforts by reviewing patient feedback and identifying solutions to nursing service problems. Additionally, the CNS supports new provider onboarding, enforces safety policies, directs new employee orientation, and assists with budget formulation and management. Human resources responsibilities include performance coaching, reviews, and staff morale, with recommendations for hiring, compensation, promotions, corrective actions, and terminations. The role requires adherence to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and applicable laws and regulations.
